Simonidis Steel Lawyers originated in 2001 when Deano Simonidis and Greg Shoebridge, joined forces to establish a family law specialist firm, however the firm was originally called Simonidis Shoebridge. Their collaboration marked the inception of what would eventually evolve into Simonidis Steel Lawyers. The decision to focus on family law was a strategic and compassionate decision. Deano Simonidis and Greg Shoebridge recognised the profound impact family matters have on individuals and the need for specialised legal support in these delicate and often emotionally charged situations. 2008
In 2008, when Greg was called to the bar, Deano continued operations of the firm. The firm then became Simonidis Steel when Luke Steel, who had commenced with the firm as a clerk in 2002, was appointed director. Under the leadership of Deano Simonidis and Luke Steel, Simonidis Steel continued to thrive and expand, solidifying its position as a trusted name in the Brisbane Family Law market.
2018
Following Luke’s departure in 2018, the firm has continued to operate under the name Simonidis Steel, solidifying its reputation as a prominent specialist firm within the Brisbane family law market. Simonidis Steel or “Simsteel” has refrained from adopting the large firm model. In this unique approach, Deano remains actively involved in every aspect of the firm’s operations. The firm’s guiding principle is to provide clients with compassionate advice and strategic solutions through a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
