Aimee was admitted as a lawyer in 2007, and has practised almost exclusively in family law since then.

Ryan completed his Bachelor of Laws, graduating with First Class Honours, at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2014. He then went on to complete his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. While at University, Ryan received numerous academic awards, including being named on the Dean’s List for academic excellence.
Ryan joined Simonidis Steel Lawyers in 2015 and is a much valued member of our firm. Ryan is a committed and dedicated advocate who prides himself on giving realistic and practical advice to his clients from the outset.

Currently within family law proceedings, Australia’s legal system is based on no-fault divorce, which means that the reasons for ending a marriage have in the main no bearing on court proceedings.
The Court has the authority to grant a divorce if the marriage has irretrievably broken down. To demonstrate this breakdown, the couple must have been separated for at least twelve months and one day.
